Global and eclectic at home

We, Singaporeans tend to travel quite a bit. I personally LOVE decor that's inspired by travel. My latest fascination is been with vintage posters and blown up photographs. Although I have quite a collection of maps, matchboxes, ticket stubs, postcards collected over the years, I prefer to display the larger items like posters or pottery to avoid clutter. So yes, go for larger items eg. rugs, scarfs, lamps, tapestry (if you have the budget) instead of snow globes or fridge magnets (those are meant for your colleagues!).

For those of us who struggle with displaying the travel treasures, this is how it's being done.

Photograph display + storage containers. PS you don't need to buy anything. Just frame your favorite memory from the trip!

Revisiting Switzerland

I stumbled upon pictures of the most beautiful country I've ever been to - Switzerland (If we are talking about landscapes). We went there on our honeymoon and I am so happy that I will be revisiting the country (Lugano and Lucerne in particular, yippee! ) in March 2013 with my parents and sister! I hope they'll love it, just as much as I do!

Diner en Blanc

... so this controversial "white" picnic, that began in Paris some years back made its debut in Singapore last week. I say controversial because there was a PR boo-boo and Singaporeans who are fiercely protective of their food (I'd like to think so.) were not too happy. NO one belittles our food. This reminds me of the curry saga. But the event went on as scheduled without a glitch despite quiet protests from local bloggers.

All these aside, as I went through some photos, I can't help but notice how beautiful the Singapore scene looked, accessorized in white.

Magic in your living space

I've always had an obsession with Paris and would very much like to go there, or live there ... someday. Meanwhile, I'd love to bring the magic home!

Where's the love?

I didn't realise that its been almost a month since my last post. I'm still around, busy shuttling back and forth the new apartment, work and my current home (my parents!). It's been an eventful month and things are slowing down. The apartment is doing great and I seriously can't wait to do a house tour for you lucky people (!). Another reason for my silence is I could not find anything blog-worthy ... until now.

Next time you see people getting ready for photographs, go behind them.

.... thats where u'll find all the LOVE. {via here}

Beachscapes

There's something about large scale beach-y art pieces especially if there are grey clouds looming outside the window.

{Lounge lizards}

i've seen SO many wedding/engagement shots with cheesy poses and i've yet to see any style that really screams us ... until NOW!

Yup, this is what the hubz and I are really like. Relaxed and comfortable like lounge lizards. Even when we travel amidst our usually packed schedule, we'll find a spot to be lazy.
